Seed/Straw Method
At Evergreen Yard Care Inc., we understand how to install a lush lawn! Even though new methods have come about sometimes good ol' fashion seed, fertilizer, straw can do the trick! Results from this method can vary but you can expect at least a month before the lawn really starts coming in if care instructions are followed. We still encourage overseeding the new lawn in the fall and spring.
Sod
Sod can be a great way to get that "instant" lawn! Sod is pre cut sections of lawn that we can quickly lay down to create an instant lawn! Over the course of a few weeks the sod will root itself into the soil and then it will be ready for foot traffic and good times! This is a great way to prep a outside event space, new construction, or simply just looking for a lawn maintenance option to hydroseed of seed/straw.
Hydroseed
We also have the capabilities to hydroseed, which is a planting process that involves spraying a mixture of water, seed, mulch, fertilizer, and sometimes other additives onto the soil. The mixture, known as a slurry, is applied using specialized equipment like a hydroseeder. This method helps with erosion control, encourages even distribution of seeds, and promotes faster germination compared to traditional seeding methods. Typically if care instructions are followed this can start to establish in 2-3 weeks. Overseeding in the fall and spring is still encouraged for optimal results.
