Our History

Evergreen Yard Care was established in Maine in 1984 by Rocky Gravel, who started mowing

fifty lawns with a friend of his. They were one of the first company’s in the area to do

this. Fast forward a decade later, Rocky got married and had two sons. The oldest son, 

Kyle, started being very interested in the business at a young age. Kyle started working

for the company at the age of thirteen. In 2018, both Rocky and Kyle took the company 

to the next level by Incorporating.  Kyle has proudly opened a 2nd location in South Portland Maine to service the Southern Maine community.

Our Pride

What we pride our company on is honesty and getting the job done. 

We offer several services in the yard care business and if there is anything

that a customer wants us to do but we're unable to we are fortunate enough to offer 

a list of subcontractors that we use. These are companies that are insured & reputable 

and have the same level of commitment as we do. We stand behind any work that we do or have done by our subcontractors. Whenever or wherever there is a demand for other services

we carefully evaluate them and see if they can be completed to the best of our 

company’s capabilities.

Our services

Our company offers several services such as, Lawn maintenance (spring & fall clean-

up’s), weekly mowing/trimming, excavation & site work, mulching, hedge trimming, hardscaping, lawn installation, total stump removals, from grinding, hauling, to putting the area back to lawn. We also do tractor services such as rototilling and bush hogging. We also offer winter services such as plowing, sanding, salting, and snow removal.

What sets us apart from the other company’s is the equipment we use & training we provide our team of professionals. We are looking for customers either residential or commercial that are looking for quality work and a company that stands behind the finish product. We want to make a relationship that will last, and that will mutually benefit both parties. Our #1

goal is to treat the customer and our employees the way that we would want to

be treated.

Our Employees

We strive to hire the most honest and hardworking employees that we can.

Once we have found the right employee for our company, we train them in all

aspects of what we do. We want employees to feel like they are one of the

owners and that their opinions are considered and valued. We

want to offer them the education that will make them the best in our line of

work. Our goal is to offer the equipment and knowledge to provide the safest work

place in our industry. 

Our future

As the owners of the business we want to create a company that is a part of our

Maine community and does the right things for those around us. We want a place that

we enjoy as owners to do this every day of the year. We hope as owners to

provide a secure future for ourselves and for our employees. We would like to grow into

a company that will serve the entire state of Maine including greater Portland and Waterville.
